Great

The Ring of Light, as with all Paper Shoot items is great. There is just one little tiny thing. It tends to cut off the view finder partially. Otherwise, wonderful.

Beautifully engineered...

...and very useful. It's compatible with the wide angle and close-up lens. It's especially useful on lowest power setting with the close-up lens. Leave it in place and it serves to some extent as a lens hood!

***Update 25th February
Although the Ring Light is a useful accessory, it has the disadvantage of completely obscuring the viewfinder. It occurred to me that this could be overcome by the addition of a simple ’sports finder’ as can be found on TLRs and old folding cameras. After a bit of experimentation with the packaging for the PaperShoot camera I came up with an insert that fits in the top of the camera and provides a viewfinder to mimic the one that’s part of the camera.

I’d also added a couple of spacers to go on to the screws which hold the camera ‘body’ together and prevents the two halves of the body getting pinched together - which improves the appearance of the assembled camera. In order to get a more durable version of the viewfinder, I asked Sparrow Fabrications to make a 3D printed version. Sparrow Fabrications can be found on eBay - use the advanced search facility to find the supplier name. He also produced the spacers and a simple tool for inserting them.

Even if the viewfinder is of no interest to you, the spacers are well worthwhile fitting to make the camera look that much better.
